I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies at Universidad del Pacífico.
I am based in Lima, Perú.
About Me
My research focuses on natural resource governance in Latin America, particularly conflict management and corporate-community relations. I hold a PhD in Political Science from Boston University, where I worked closely with the Global Development Policy Center as a Global China Fellow. My PhD dissertation, "Mobilizing the Inca Heartland: A Study of Mining Conflicts in Southern Peru," examines the dynamics of corporate-community conflicts surrounding mega copper mining projects in Peru’s southern mining corridor.
Currently, I am investigating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulations within South America's renewable energy value chain and assessing the compliance of overseas Chinese companies in the region. I am also studying the gender dimensions of natural resource extraction in the Peruvian Andes, focusing on the gendered impacts of Chinese investment in the mining sector.
